Installation

If you have previously installed Imperium: Reclaimed and completed the Create Account action, then proceed directly to the Login portal.

Requirements

• Linux 64-bit OS (Ubuntu 12.04+)
• OpenGL

Download

• Navigate to http://www.imperiumreclaimed.com/play
• Download the current build (zip file)

Verify File Integrity

• The program package zip file's sha1 checksum is posted at the same location where the program package zip file is located. The checksum is also available to download as a sha1 file.

-A sha1 checksum appears to be a random string of digits (e.g., aa40c03c43caf06168fbaa7447bd5fe7d4e276bb).

• The sha1 checksum is used to check for download error and to verify the integrity of the program package zip file.
• The sha1 checksum of the downloaded program package zip file can be calculated by running the sha1sum command in a terminal window (e.g., sha1sum <filename>). If the sha1 checksum shown in the terminal window does not match the sha1 checksum shown on the webpage, delete the downloaded program package zip file and reacquire.
• The sha1 checksum can also be validated by downloading the sha1 file from the webpage and copying it to the same location where you have saved the program package zip file. From a terminal prompt, run the following command: sha1sum -c <filename>.sha1. If the command displays 'OK' then the sha1 checksum of your downloaded program package zip file matches the copy on the server. It is now safe to proceed with installation of Imperium: Reclaimed.

Install

• Extract the contents of the downloaded program package zip file to a location of your choosing where you have read, write, and execute permissions (e.g. Desktop, Documents, etc.). Note that the Imperium Reclaimed.x86_64 file must be in the same location as the Imperium Reclaimed_Data folder.

Login Screen

Upon executing the Imperium Reclaimed.x86_64 file, the user will see the Login screen:

• Press the Signup button to navigate to the Signup screen.

Signup Screen

To create an Imperium: Reclaimed account, enter the requested information on the Signup screen in the appropriate fields.

Login field

• Enter a login composed only of letters, digits, and the '@', '.', '+', '-', and '_' characters. Logins are case sensitive and can be an e-mail address.
• For security purposes, do not reveal your login to other players.

Password field

• Enter a password. Passwords are case sensitive.
• For security purposes, longer passwords are better, and your password needs to be different from your login. Never revel your password to anyone (including Imperium: Reclaimed staff).

Password (confirm) field

• Enter your password choice again. It must match exactly with the password entered in the previous field.

E-mail field

• Enter your e-mail address. Your login and contact e-mail address can be the same.
• Your e-mail address is optional, but it is needed to reset your password and to obtain technical support. You can update (add, change, or delete) your e-mail address within the game.

Remember me checkbox

• The Remember me checkbox will become active once the Login, Password, and Password (confirm) fields have been completed with valid information.
• If this box is checked, you will be automatically logged in each time you launch Imperium: Reclaimed.
• For security purposes, this option should only be used on non-public, secure machines.
• Once checked, you must use the Logout button on the in-game Main Menu to disable this option.

Signup button

• The Signup button will become active once the Login, Password, and Password (confirm) fields have been completed with valid information. Pressing this button will initiate account creation on the server.
• Once you have successfully created an account, the Create Avatar screen will be displayed.
